A Message from the City Administrator
Lake Helen is a special community with a proud history, strong neighborhoods, and a small-town character that sets us apart. As City Administrator, my goal is to help preserve the charm and identity that residents love while also moving our city forward in a responsible, thoughtful, and strategic way.
For many years, Lake Helen has been known as “The Gem of Florida.” That title reflects more than our beautiful tree-lined streets, historic homes, and welcoming community. It reflects the pride of our residents, the dedication of our employees, and the shared commitment we all have to keeping Lake Helen a place where people are proud to live, work, visit, and raise a family.
As our community continues to grow, we must remain committed to smart development. That means encouraging progress that respects our small-town feel, protects the character of our neighborhoods, supports responsible economic growth, and ensures that future development aligns with the values and long-term vision of Lake Helen. Growth should strengthen our community, not take away from what makes it special.
As a city, we are focused on providing the best possible service to every citizen. Whether your concern involves Public Works, police services, code compliance, administration, parks, roads, stormwater, smart development, or general city operations, our staff is here to assist you. We understand that local government works best when it is accessible, responsive, and connected to the people it serves.
My door is always open. We welcome your questions, concerns, ideas, and involvement. The City of Lake Helen belongs to its citizens, and we are committed to listening, communicating clearly, and working together to address the needs of our community.
As we look to the future, we will continue focusing on maintaining Lake Helen’s small-town feel, improving city services, strengthening public safety, investing in infrastructure, supporting smart development, and working every day to protect our status as “The Gem of Florida.”
Thank you for the opportunity to serve this wonderful community.
